The Cirlot Agency of Flowood recently won the Gold Quill Award, an international advertising award given by the International Association of Business Communicators for honor and excellence. Rick and Liza Looser accepted the award at a gala presentation in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Cirlot Agency's "Mississippi… Believe It" campaign was one of 130 entries to receive an award and one of 56 to receive an award of excellence. More than 1,100 entries from 27 countries were submitted. Examples of other companies winning a Gold Quill Award this year were Microsoft, Sony and Motorola. Entries are judged on technical excellence, creativity and innovation, effectiveness in identifying and responding to an organization's or community's needs, the delivery of measurable outcomes and the overall success of the project.

Rick Looser, Chief Operating Officer of the Cirlot Agency, said that "For public relations, it's like the Oscars and the Tonys all wrapped up into one."
