How to Make a Call on WhatsApp

Making a call on WhatsApp is a simple process, whether you’re making a voice call or a video call. Here’s how you can make a call on WhatsApp:

Voice Call:

  1. Open WhatsApp: Open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone.
  2. Select a Contact: Choose the contact you want to call from your chat list. You can also use the search bar at the top of the screen to quickly find the contact.
  3. Initiate the Call:
    • In the chat window, you’ll see a phone icon at the top right corner. Tap on it.
    • Alternatively, you can open the contact’s profile by tapping on their name at the top of the chat, and then tap the phone icon next to their name.
  4. Wait for the Call to Connect: WhatsApp will connect the call, and you’ll hear a ringing tone. Once the recipient answers, you can start your voice call.

Video Call:

  1. Open WhatsApp: Launch the WhatsApp app on your smartphone.
  2. Select a Contact: Choose the contact you want to video call from your chat list. You can also use the search bar to quickly find the contact.
  3. Initiate the Video Call:
    • In the chat window, you’ll see a video camera icon at the top right corner. Tap on it.
    • Alternatively, you can open the contact’s profile, tap the video camera icon next to their name, and start the call from there.
  4. Wait for the Call to Connect: WhatsApp will establish the video call, and you’ll see a ringing screen. Once the recipient answers, you can start your video call.

Additional Tips:

  • Ensure that you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to make a clear call.
  • WhatsApp supports both one-on-one calls and group calls (up to eight participants in a group call).
  • During a call, you can switch between voice and video by tapping the camera icon on the call screen.
